Join CGS on Tuesday, October 22 at 12:00 PM to hear a CGS Research Associate Xinyue Li discusses her research on carbon neutrality pathways from 10 modeling teams with varying near-term policy ambitions to assess decarbonization strategies and the investments needed for climate goals.

Abstract: Evaluating pathways to achieving China’s carbon neutrality goals is critical for informing domestic and global policy. While China has established a series of policies known as “1+N” to decarbonize across the economy, investment needs and energy security implications are still uncertain. This analysis evaluates carbon neutrality pathways with varying near-term policy ambition from 10 different modeling teams to assess key decarbonization strategies and evaluate investment needed to achieve near and long-term climate goals.
