Raising Ambition by Linking National with Non-Party Actions

Hosted by UMD Center for Global Sustainability, this official side event at COP24 will review recent assessments of the impact of non-Party climate action in the US and globally. Experts and leaders will discuss approaches to fuse assessment of non-Party action with raising ambition at the national level in advance of future COPs and international conferences where ambition and accountability will be called into question. In particular, the panel will address global, subnational, and non-state perspective on the future of bottom-up climate action, resources and analytical approaches that can help enhance collective action.
